2008 Charity Donations

In line with our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy, Axis Security continues to donate money to charity and to support charitable events. As well as the donations made during our Annual Golf Day (see Axis Charity Golf Day 2008 for details), we also sponsored two tables at a ‘black tie’ dinner to raise money and awareness for the Child Victims of Crime charity.

Additionally,we have pledged to donate a proportion of our turnover year on year to charity, 50% of this donation will go to a charity of the Company’s choosing and the remainder being donated to a charity of one of our Guest’s worthy causes.

This year our chosen charity was the City of London Crime Prevention Association, which contributes to such charities and schemes as the Child Victims of Crime and the Taxi Marshalling Scheme in the City of London. The donation was graciously accepted during our Annual Christmas Luncheon by the Chairman of the City of London Crime Prevention Association, Don Randall M.B.E.

Don Randall M.B.E. then kindly drew the Guest’s Charity, with the successful charity being the Asian Foundation for Philanthropy, which was collected by Vijay Thakar of Ernst & Young. The Asian Foundation for Philanthropy is a UK-based charity established in November 2004 to support British Asians Diaspora who want to make a difference to social and economic development in India. They use their extensive networks in both the UK and India to provide means for both individuals and businesses who wish to contribute towards social change in India.

Axis Security anticipates a very successful 2009, where the above charity donations will increase in line with our annual turnover and looks forward to assisting further charities in 2009.
