ACS Pacesetters award win

Congratulations to James Stuckless for being awarded the reputable ‘Security Officer of Distinction’ Award at this year’s ACS Pacesetters.

James is a patrol driver and in December 2016 he was returning to the office when he came across a male sitting on the edge of a bridge appearing as if he was going to jump. He stopped the vehicle and attempted to engage him in conversation, however; the male jumped from the bridge and was hit by a passing vehicle that was coming to the scene in response to the incident. James then assisted in keeping the male stable until the Paramedics arrived.

James’s actions were commended by the Area Commander and Chief Inspector of the Police Division who also thanked him for remaining at the location whilst the investigation took place. Thankfully, the male sustained no lasting injuries.

The 2017 Security Officer of Distinction Awards were presented at The ACS Pacesetters Lunch which was held at Royal Windsor Racecourse on Wednesday, 24th May 2017, in the Riverside Pavilion.

The Security Officers were recommended by the clients for whom they work, endorsed by the contract company and ultimately selected by the main sponsors of the event.
