Emma Threlfall wins Women in Security Award

Updated: May 14, 2019

A huge congratulations to our very capable Emma Threlfall, Soft Services Coordinator at Houndshill Shopping Centre, who was awarded the Frontline Award at this year's Women in Security Awards. Well done Emma!

Emma Threlfall, our Site Manager at Houndshill Shopping Centre, has impressed Axis Security management and the client: Debbs Lancelott, who stated that Emma had stepped up and had been helping to run the Centre during the absence of the Deputy Centre Manager. Therefore, when we saw that applications were being sought for the “Women in Security” Awards, we had no hesitation in nominating her. This was fully supported by the North West Management team.

Here is what our client at Houndshill had to say:

‘‘Emma has taken the opportunity whilst working with the Counter Terrorism Security team to redevelop the Houndshill Shopping Centre Fire and Bomb evacuation procedures, Disaster Planning and Business Recovery Programme.

All the above has been personally driven by Emma and is being managed and implemented alongside all the other duties that she performs.

Emma has meticulously reviewed all the site systems and processes, reorganising and restructuring where appropriate. She has also introduced comradery throughout the staff, who are happier in the work place and are actively encouraged to be proactive and participate in the wider management of the contract and operational systems.

Emma has succeeded where others failed; the standards of cleaning and security services have increased, costs have been decreased, praise and productivity raised. Emma manages the contract proactively and professionally and this is recognised by the Tenants, Client and the wider Blackpool businesses. With Emma’s assistance, the business is being driven forward and managed effectively, which is of utmost importance in today’s business market.

Houndshill are extremely grateful for the hard work and commitment Emma has to our Company and her assistance in building a safer business and public realm.’’

The Professional Security Magazine Women in Security Awards are the security profession’s dedicated awards that recognise and honour the accomplishments, value and contributions of women within the wider world of security.
